The hotel's location is perfect - right on the beach near the bay in Trincomalee. You can step out of your room and be just a few steps away from the beautiful sandy beach. The views from the balcony in the upstairs bedroom are absolutely breathtaking, especially in the morning when you can witness the stunning sunrise over the sea. Another great aspect is the brand new air conditioning in the rooms, ensuring a comfortable stay even on hot days. Additionally, the breakfast included in the stay is a delightful treat, providing a good start to the day.

I had the most amazing stay at a charming little hotel near a beautiful beach. The owner and his team were incredibly welcoming, making me feel at home throughout my stay. The food was outstanding, especially the fresh seafood dinners prepared by their talented cook. The beach was pristine and the turquoise water was a sight to behold. The owner even organized a life-changing whale watching tour for me. The hotel may be a bit secluded, but it offered a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere away from the tourist crowds. I highly recommend this hotel for an exceptional experience.

We recently had a romantic escape at a beachfront hotel. the AC in the room was a relief from the heat and the private balcony provided a stunning view of the sun rising over the sea. the location was great, with the beach just steps away. We also enjoyed taking a short walk along the shore to explore the area.

We did notice that the bathroom was not well-maintained and had some unpleasant smells. the shared bathroom was not conveniently located which was sometimes challenging late at night.

The manager at Dyke Rest went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. When I had a muscle issue, they noticed and provided me with a cream that alleviated the pain. On our last day, they even paid for our transportation to the bus station since we had to leave early. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and made with love and care. The location right on the beach was breathtaking and provided a serene atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel.
